Litcrawl 2024: Reading at ‘The Witching Hour’

A woman bathed in blue light dances on a makeshift stage before a seated audience.

All credit to Susan Calvillo (a poet, author, and dancer, pictured above) and Genie Cartier of Bow & Arrow Circus for creating and producing The Witching Hour, a unique reading-dance performance. It was a packed room at the San Francisco Mime Troupe in the Mission. Thanks also to LitCrawl for organizing.

I appreciated the unique stage I was given to read my feminist ghost story, “Unspeakable,” alongside Muriel Leung, who read an excerpt from her new book, How to Fall In Love in a Time of Unnameable Disaster, and Lena Alison Knight, whose story about an Airbnb ghost totally killed.
